I would like to tell you today about CC Bums breast pads.
When i was pregnant/breastfeeding, before I even though of opening this business, it was hard for me to find disposable breast pads that i really liked.
Either they were the wrong shape, or they weren't the right size, or the sticky on the back was a pain in the butt, or they were not waterproof.. nothing seemed to work just right.
So once i got the opportunity (through opening my business) to work with some other fabrics, i created this pattern out of that necessity!
I at first only made 4" and 5".. because i didn't know there was a need for any larger.. but then one day i had a special custom order to make a 6" pair.
MAKES SENSE!
Not every woman is the same size up top, and not every breastfeeding mother creates the same amount of milk.
And not every mom decides to breast feed! These can be used just for leakage during your pregnancy!
So I decided to keep all three sizes IN the store, ready to sell, and to use different types of fabrics!
Cottons, velour, sherpa, hemp, bamboo and stay dry materials.
Two things always remain the same.. there is always an absorbent core, so leakage is never a problem.
AND there is always fleece on the back.. that doesn't slide around, and allows for waterproofing.
So why do i recommend my breast pads above others?
Because of the wide variety of materials.. either ready to ship, or availability for customization.. and for the personal touch you get from my customer service. I know the quality of materials that goes into making these, I use a professional serger so I know the threads are always top notch, and I know that from doing my homework myself, I have made the best pair of breast pads I know how.
Please feel free to peruse my store..
and don't forget.. every new mom deserves to be comfortable.. her body, and her wallet.

polish from La Bella Vernice
I received some beautiful WAHM polishes as a 30th birthday gift from a secret mama!
And i couldn't be more in love!
Starting off.. "Mars in the Stars" is a beautiful textured polish.. sheer and smooth!
Now.. honestly, when I put on the first coat I was skeptical that I wouldn't have to put on a top coat, since it was textured (I generally like smooth nails).. but this isn't chunky! It's a very "polished" (no pun intended) polish. ;)
I love that the sheerness of it has a beautiful orangey-corally tint.. I used 3 layers, since it was my main color, and not a topper this time.
Then I foiled the accent nail and added a tip. And you can't really tell even with the polished tip, that's it's textured underneath. It's a fine texture, and a light enough tint, to where it's super versatile!
I. AM. IN. LOVE. And you should be too.
The application is fantastic.. it's not thick, it's not thin, it doesn't run, it doesn't streak.. am I allowed to say it's the most perfect application I've ever had with a polish? (.. I just did)
You'd be a fool not to have this in your collection! Even just to stare at. ;)

Last, but definitely not least, is the mini "Feeling Shameless".. color changer! ALSO holographic! I've never had one before and I have to say, it's pretty cool to watch it.. well.. change. :)
I literally put it under warm water, cool water, warm water, cool water.. you get the idea.. just to watch it. LOL.
And just like the last one, the application is fantastic. :)
I am a purple freak, and this shade is just stunning.
You all are crazy if you don't at least check out her store..

the CC Bib
I created this bib out of necessity.
I didn't like how other bibs weren't.. absorbent enough, weren't wide enough, I didn't like the closure, how easy it was for the kid to take off, they weren't long enough, I couldn't get all the crumbs out of the pocket, I didn't like having to wipe down the plastic bibs.. the list goes on!
So I took what I knew I DIDN'T want, and made a pattern of the bib that would fix all of that!!
"CC Bibs are 7 inch long x 10 inch wide, and have three size adjustments on the wings, to allow them to fit from little baby to big messy toddler, with the coverage you need to keep the ick off the shirt!
They are snap closure.. your little one cannot rip this off!"
I love that I can play with the materials on these, too. And in the end, all of them are the same absorbency.. from minkee to flannel, fleece backed for waterproofing or terrycloth.. even an extra layer of cotton for super spitters (upon request)!
I love that the pocket snaps closed.. so it's easy for the parent to open and clean!
And if you don't need to USE the pocket, you can open it up and lay it flat for extra coverage on the child!
Hand washing?! Not this bib! Just throw it in the wash and you're good to go! :)
I'm super stoked about this product :)
And it's super affordable!! from $5-8 each.. they last the life of your child! (my husband even put it on, and it fit around his neck HAHA)
check them out and purchase HERE :)

My First Business Post :) CC Bums in the making
Hi there :)
This is Cami.. the mom behind CC Bums :)
If you didn't already know.. the lady behind the blog about homemade items.. is also a WAHM :)
A little background on me.. I started sewing when I was about 8 years old. My mom taught me many things about "do it yourself".. and I'm passing that on to my girls.
God also gave me the opportunity, through the resources of a friend online, to start making diapers for my girls about 7 years ago, just using things I had laying around the house.. sweatshirts, towels, tshirts, receiving blankets, sheets, hoodies.. to make some simple pocket diapers that i could pin and use for any size.
And through this, I was also able to start a business.. Cami Court's Bums.. aka CC Bums. :)
I started on March 15, 2009 as a business in my home.. using a simple old Singer sewing machine, on my kitchen table, with a tupperware tote of fabric.
Mama cloth, family cloth and one-size cotton pocket fitted diapers were the start of something pretty awesome. :)
I've created my own patterns for products over the years.. improving and testing things.. we're going on our 5 year anniversary this March.. and i'm so grateful for all the people who have helped me and stuck with me along the way. :)
I'm super grateful to my husband, owner of BDC Productions (www.bdcvid.com) for learning with me the many benefits of using cloth products and living a green lifestyle!
And now I get the chance to show LOTS more people through the work that I do, how beneficial and affordable reusable products really are! :)
I hope you stick around.. I'm excited to show you all some great information about "green living" and the products that I provide!

Iridophore
Iridophore.. not sure what that means.. but when i saw this on Etsy (was shopping around with a gift certificate from a friend).. i saw this is automatically thought "ooohhhh that'll be a pretty top coat" and the price was perfect. :) Had to get it!
must mean magical.. because really, the coloring in this really ads a sweet, magical touch to any color of the rainbow!
my husband said i should do rainbow nails.. so i picked out the colors (had to ad some.. ROY G BIV isn't 10 colors..)
and decided that i would use Iridophore as my top coat on all of them to see what it would look like on the different shades.
.. WOW..
this is perfect.. not too subtle, not too shocking.. it really IS a magically perfect glittery top coat.. and i love the variety of glitter in it.
even though it looks simple, but closer observation, it really just brings a different aspect to the color under it. they radiate off each other.
as you can see here.. all of these colors really worked together with this beauty.. absolutely nothing wrong with it at all!
the application was fantastic.. didn't take too long to dry.. and it was an easy removal, too! (sorry for the slight wear on the tips of my nail polish.. busy mom) :)
i really think this polish would be a great addition to any collection.
especially if you haven't had any of Chiralities polishes before.. like me.
i'm super happy with it, and combined with her customer service, i would recommend her store anytime.
her Facebook page and her Etsy store are always open to peruse and purchase.

Pretty Jelly: Rabbit Hole
(second and last review for Pretty Jelly from the polishes i won)
again.. PIC HEAVY!
i just can't decide which ones to delete! :)
ok.. with this one (Rabbit Hole) i half expected it to be a more clear glitter.. BUT it ended up being a beautiful dense DEEP polish.
what i mean by deep is..
i have 3 layers on my pointer and middle finger
2 layers on top of gold on my thumb
and 1 layer over black on my pinker
and when you take a minute to really look at it.. the depth of it is astounding. the way it layers over itself.. make you almost physically feel like you're falling! (into a Rabbit Hole, so to speak ;) )
i didn't know i would love this one so much.
but i can tell you right now, this is going to be one of my go-to indie's.
i love how with just 1 layer over black, it gives it a great reddish top coat.. and i didn't have to top coat this, either!
i also found out yesterday when i was driving.. i happened to glance at my polish in the sunlight, and it has sort of a golden undertone!
the glitters worried me a tad because at first glance at the bottle, they look kind of taco'y. so i was praying they wouldn't curl up on me. the cool thing about it? the way they shine LOOKS taco'y. BUT they do lay fantastically flat! it's another awesome feature that just ads to this polish.. to make it everyone's favorite. :)
all in all.. a VERY unique polish.. SO GLAD i won this. :)
thanks again, Pretty Jelly, for the giveaway! proud to own your product!
EVERYBODY.. head over to her Facebook page to check out more amazing products by her! :)

Pretty Jelly: House of Usher
WARNING: PIC HEAVY!
I just could NOT bring myself to delete anymore beautiful rainbows ;)
I won a giveaway not too long ago, and was so geeked to win an indie brand that I didn't own yet. (honestly, I don't own a LOT of indie's, so every little bit helps!)
I was sent Pretty Jelly's House of Usher and Rabbit Hole.
First thing.. my favorite color is purple. And holo-moly.. (get it? holy moly).. this is an amazing purple!! (And I usually don't like dark colors)
My 4 year old wanted to wear it, too, so right now her hands are also holo'y goodness. :)
I have to say.. consistency is perfect.. the holographicness (totally a made-up word) is amazing.. I can actually see the holo in ANY lighting.. opaque in 1 coat!! Though I used 2 anyway.. I always do ;). Habit.
Easy to take off, dries in a fair amount of time.. no nail staining.. honestly, all in all an amazing product!!
And the finish looks like it's already got a top coat on it! I did a re-think this morning.. did I top coat it? No I didn't.. I never top coat holo's. Very shiny finish!
Head over to the fan page on Facebook to check out so many more amazing polishes from her!
I'm excited for next week when I get to show you Rabbit Hole!! (already swatched it.. AMAZING! stay tuned..)
